Job summary

ConsultNet Technology Services and Solutions is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive FEED package development and lead process design activities across multi-disciplinary teams in Houston, TX and Salt Lake City, UT.

You will create PFDs, MBs and P&IDs, while championing process safety through HAZOP/LOPA studies and providing technical backing for procurement and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process, Chemical or similar Engineering.
• Experience in EPC environments; direct experience in refining/oil & gas/heavy industry/mining is advantageous.
• Strong ability to build process models and perform performance analyses using industry software.
• Solid command of process system design, hydraulics, heat transfer, and equipment sizing.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.

Senior Process Engineer

Locations: Houston, TX | Salt Lake City, UT

Salary range: 92K-180K DOE (Direct hire)

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive process engineering design activities and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams. In this role, you will lead conceptual process development and execute front-end engineering design (FEED) packages. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include creating and refining process flow diagrams (PFDs), establishing precise heat and material balances (H&MBs), and developing detailed P&IDs. Additionally, you will champion process safety initiatives by actively supporting and participating in safety reviews, including HAZOP and LOPA studies, while providing critical technical backing for procurement and construction phases.

Technical Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Process, Chemical or similar Engineering.
• EPC Background: Proven track record of delivering robust process engineering solutions within an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) environment. Direct experience supporting the refining, oil and gas, heavy industrial, or mining sectors is highly advantageous.
• Simulation Mastery: High proficiency using industry-standard simulation software—such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or ProMax—to build accurate process models, conduct performance analyses, and execute system optimizations.
• Core Engineering Skills: Deep technical command of process system design, including fluid flow mechanics, heat transfer principles, equipment sizing, and comprehensive hydraulic and line sizing calculations.
• Credentials: A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
