Job description

The Sr. Process Engineer is a hands-on position responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing equipment and processes to produce high-quality injection-molded products. This role involves coordinating molding efforts during new program launches, setting up and revising manufacturing processes, and assisting with problem-solving and continuous process improvements. The position also includes mentoring and training molding process setup technicians and factory maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement new processes and technical solutions to improve quality and equipment efficiency.
2. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mold process technicians and other personnel.
3. Create and maintain clear process documentation and provide daily technical support to manufacturing.
4. Design, start-up, operate, and shut down process-related equipment independently.
5. Collaborate with vendors to resolve machine and material issues.
6. Monitor and report on injection mold performance, recommending refurbishment based on production data.
7. Interact with stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
8. Support safety, environmental, and ergonomic initiatives in the plant.

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Engineering required; practical experience in molding operations or extensive training required, rubber/silicone experience preferred.
• Strong technical background in molding processing, tooling, equipment, and materials.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in CAD and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to lead and supervise molding process technicians.
