Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Space Communications Systems Engineer to work in Gilbert, Arizona.

The Sr. Principal Space Communications Systems Engineer will support architecture trades, design analysis, and performance modeling through computer simulation. This individual will provide systems engineering support to hardware developments for air, space, and ground systems utilizing state-of-the-art antenna, RF, digital, and microelectronics technologies. Project roles span all phases of product development cycle, from new business acquisition, and IRAD/ technology development to established programs delivering integrated hardware and software systems. Systems engineering activities include system architecture design, trade studies, specification development, requirement definition and allocation, performance analysis and simulation, system modeling and simulation tool development, and support to hardware design, manufacturing, integration and test.

This position is contingent upon capturing program award, acquiring customer funding, and obtaining and maintaining the necessary clearance(s) prior to start date.

Essential experience in one or more of the following areas:

· Baseband and digital signal processing

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 9+ years of engineering experience OR a Master's of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 7+ years of engineering experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4+ years of engineering experience

· Practical working experience with system architecture design, trade studies, and performance analysis and simulation

· Technical experience with supporting hardware development utilizing antenna, RF, digital, and microelectronic technologies

· Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

· Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science

· Completed relevant coursework in Communication Theory and Digital Signal Processing

· Experience with baseband and digital signal processing, and waveform design

· Possess strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

· Active DoD Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance

This position is contingent upon capturing program award, acquiring customer funding, and obtaining and maintaining the necessary clearance(s) prior to start date.

Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $148,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
