Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an IPT Lead for hardware design and transition to production at the Linthicum, MD site near BWI. The role requires coordinating with factory test cells, Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance to meet time-critical milestones.

The ideal candidate will bring a current Secret clearance, a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

  • Active and current Secret government clearance.
  • 6-month minimum experience with hardware design and/or hardware integration & test.
  • 6-month minimum experience in the BWI factory and/or factory test cell(s).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with 6-month minimum experience as an IPT Lead or other leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with 8 years of industry experience, or master’s degree and 6 years of industry experience.
  • Experience reporting project status to program, functional management and customers.
  • Experience with EVMS, RCCA, LRU/LRM integration and testing for an EMD product transitioning to production.
  • PMP certification a plus; Top Secret government clearance a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team to transition designs to production for a key priority program.
  • Interface with factory test cells, Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance.
  • Brief internal and customer leadership on progress and milestones.

In addition, they will brief internal and potentially external customer leadership on progress.The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
