Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or STEM-related field; 5 years industry experience or Masters with 3 years.
  • Active Secret clearance required to start; must maintain clearance and obtain SAP clearance for continued employment.
  • Experience with hardware design and/or hardware integration & test.
  • Experience in the BWI production factory and/or factory test cells.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Leadership experience in IPT or similar roles.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

These positions are located in Linthicum, MD.This IPT Lead will be required to lead an engineering team working to transition designs to production for a very important sector priority program with many time-critical elements and high management visibility. They will interface with personnel in the factory test cells, Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance. In addition, they will brief internal and potentially external customer leadership on progress.The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.These roles are contingent upon candidates having an Active Secret government clearance, maintaining this level of clearance and obtaining an SAP clearance for continued employment.Basic Qualifications Principal Deputy Chief Engineer:Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or STEM-related degree, with 5 years of industry experience, or Masters degree and 3 years of industry experience. An additional 4 years’ experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.Active Secret clearance required to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and obtain an SAP clearance for continued employment.Experience with hardware design and/or hardware integration & testExperience in the BWI production factory and/or factory test cell(s)Experience using SAPAvailable onsite at the BWI facility during first shiftLeadership experience that may be in areas such as project planning, cost & schedule management including tracking, manufacturing support, vendor support, design team lead, or similar.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated leadership skills with 6-month minimum experience as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead or other leadership role supporting a program or business functionExperience with REX (receiver/exciter), Processor or general RF Integration and test for hardwareExperience reporting project status to program, functional management and customersExperience working with Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing Material ProcessingKnowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Experience with the Root Cause Correction Action (RCCA) processExperience with LRU/LRM Integration and testing for an EMD product transitioning to productionFluency with developing and executing project schedulesExperience managing products in the critical path of a programPMP certification a plusActive and current Top Secret government clearance a plusPrimary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
