We prioritize our work and put people first, seeking individuals committed to improving lives globally.

Position Brand Description:

The Lilly API/Dry Product Network is expanding rapidly, with new greenfield sites under construction to meet increasing demand. These sites are staffed for steady-state production, but additional surge capacity is needed to support startup phases and rapid ramp-up to full capacity.

The ADN RAMP (Rapid Access to Medicines for Patients) team is a cross-functional group bringing deep manufacturing expertise. It supports site startups through operational excellence, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and surge capacity. This role offers opportunities to work at new sites, expand Lilly's network, develop technical and leadership skills, and accelerate site startups to serve more patients efficiently.

Success requires supporting site startups through technical execution, coaching team members, and developing local operational capabilities for full operation readiness. The team reports to the Ramp Team Sr. Director and collaborates across functions.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:
  1. Provide process control and automation engineering expertise to ensure safe, first-time-right, on-time facility startups.
  2. Collaborate with site engineering teams on process controls, DCS systems, operational readiness, and C&Q support.
  3. Coach and develop local technical teams to enhance operational excellence and technical skills.
  4. Use root cause analysis to resolve process and equipment issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  5. Monitor and document equipment performance to maintain qualification and safety standards.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science with 8-10 years' pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of process control/automation systems, including DeltaV DCS, system architecture, and integration with MES and IT platforms.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
  • Knowledge of other automation platforms like Rockwell Automation, Siemens, etc.
  • Understanding of process instrumentation and batch control.
  • Experience with Emerson’s Syncade MES platform.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coach, influence, and simplify complex issues.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to work off-shift and travel as needed, including international assignments.
Other Information:

The team supports multiple sites across the US and internationally, requiring flexibility and mobility. Lilly is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing accommodations during the application process. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Our employee resource groups include networks for various cultural, professional, and identity groups, fostering support and community.

Compensation for this role ranges from $114,000 to $198,000, based on experience and location. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses and benefits, including retirement plans, health insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Lilly reserves the right to modify these offerings as needed.
