Position Summary

The Senior Portfolio Relationship Manager acts as a liaison between the Commercial Lending team, Credit Department, and clients. This role involves supporting Loan Officers with portfolio management functions to ensure high levels of service and responsiveness to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage existing customer portfolios, including annual reviews, renewals, and managing the Bank's tickler system.
  • Recommend corrective actions, seek waivers, and assist with covenant testing and loan modifications.
  • Review financials, credit data, and collateral analysis to identify potential credit issues.
  • Process loan advances, risk rating upgrades/downgrades, and monitor construction loans.
  • Handle credit references, audit requests, and pre-payment penalties.
  • Handle complex credits with larger exposures, SWAP agreements, and participations.
Teamwork and Process Improvement
  • Promote cooperation and innovation within the team.
  • Interact with external professionals and support process improvements, including system enhancements.
  • Mentor and coach team members.
Customer Experience
  • Exceed customer expectations, anticipate needs, and communicate effectively.
  • Support customers with inquiries and communicate with internal departments to ensure service quality.
Other Responsibilities
  • Participate in professional development and training.
  • Perform special projects and act as backup for the Team Manager.
Qualifications
  • College degree or formal credit training.
  • At least five years of commercial loan portfolio management experience, especially in Real Estate and C&I underwriting.
  • Strong knowledge of banking policies, excellent communication skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
