Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Planisware Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain our enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) platform. In this role, you will apply rigorous software engineering principles to the Planisware Enterprise ecosystem. You will be responsible for engineering high-performance modules, architecting scalable data schemas, and developing complex, real-time backend integrations. You will work closely with implementation partners, enterprise architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure Planisware aligns with global software standards, CI/CD pipelines, and robust security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Core Application Engineering: Write clean, modular, and maintainable custom code within Planisware V7 Enterprise utilizing advanced scripting paradigms (OPX2Script / L7).
  • Data & Object Modeling: Architect scalable data models, objects, macro-attributes, and custom database schemas within the Planisware engine to support heavy engineering analytics.
  • API & System Integration: Engineer robust, low-latency APIs and web services (REST/SOAP, IntelliTx, Open-API) to seamlessly connect Planisware with core enterprise systems (SAP, Jira, Azure, Data Lakes).
  • Performance Engineering: Debug complex technical bottlenecks, profile memory usage, conduct advanced code reviews, and optimize heavily nested SQL queries for maximum system performance.
  • DevOps & Release Management: Manage code versioning (Git/GitHub), orchestrate multi-environment code synchronization, integrate automated testing scripts into deployment pipelines, and create/update development tasks as appropriate in Jira.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement enterprise-grade authentication, authorization, and data encryption standards (OAuth, SAML) within the Planisware and company environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Software Engineering, with at least 3 years of dedicated, hands-on engineering and customization within Planisware Enterprise.
  • Advanced Coding: Proficient-level mastery of Planisware Scripting Language (OPX2Script / L6 / L7) and advanced dynamic reporting architecture.
  • Tech Stack Overlap: Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Python, or standard web application architectures that wrap around enterprise systems.
  • Integration Engineering: Deep technical experience building and troubleshooting enterprise-scale web services, microservices, and asynchronous data pipelines.
  • Database Engineering: Strong proficiency in relational database architecture (Oracle, SQL Server) and writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries.
  • Software Practices: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, and SDLC best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Domain: Experience mapping engineering data, R&D budgets, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data structures in an automotive or manufacturing context.
  • Certification: Planisware Developer certification preferred.
Team & Project Context
  • Business Group & Focus: Product development business systems space focusing on vehicle manufacturing, vehicle lifecycle planning, new models, trims, and associated logistics.
  • Team Objective: Supporting the transformation from an in-house legacy system to a modern SaaS platform (Planisware) used to manage timing plans and PMO operations for vehicle engineering.
  • Growth Driver: Team expansion due to increased workload and project needs.
Work Rhythm & Environment
  • Daily Structure: Providing technical direction and execution planning at 2-week to 1-month horizons.
  • Collaboration Level: High interaction with thought leaders and technical leads to align on high-level goals and execution strategies.

All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without a sponsorship. No exceptions.
