Senior Piping Designer at Middough Inc.

Middough Inc., a 'TOP WORKPLACES' winner, is seeking a Senior Piping Designer. In this role, you will create complex designs aligned with best practices, client specifications, and industry standards. You will interpret drawings, guide drafters and designers, and ensure adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

1. Establish project budgets with discipline leads and oversee task distribution.
2. Coordinate work among lead designers.
3. Design equipment layouts and piping routes using CAD, compliant with codes and standards.
4. Ensure project standards and checklists are correctly applied.
5. Maintain and update the 3D model throughout the project.
6. Participate in client meetings as needed.
7. Adhere to QA/QC standards.
8. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Drafting or Design with 10+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with equipment and facility layouts, 3D piping modeling, orthographic drawings, isometrics, and piping supports.
• Strong knowledge of industrial piping systems.
• Experience with CADWorx, Plant 3D, or AutoPlant.
• Background in industrial facilities, natural gas, oil and gas, or power industries.
• Knowledge of Earned Value management and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Candidates should be able to remain stationary for periods, walk, climb, and use various physical motions. On-site work may involve adverse conditions, travel, and the need for a valid driver's license.
