Additional Information About the Role

The Senior Performance Measure Consultant will partner with their Manager in the Center for Clinical Excellence to oversee inpatient and outpatient regulatory quality metrics for East Region hospitals. Responsibilities include electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) portfolio implementation, performance analysis, workflow optimization, validation, and improvement. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary groups both internal and external to the organization are essential. Familiarity with eCQMs, Epic data capture, and clinical informatics is highly preferred. Project management skills will also be utilized. This is a remote position; candidates must be located in MO or IL.

Role Purpose

The Senior Performance Measures Consultant provides performance measurement and analytical support to aid clinical decision-making. This role involves coordinating daily operations of the quality team, producing reports to identify opportunities for targeted interventions, and serving as an expert in Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and regulatory quality measures. The position evaluates, recommends, and monitors best practice processes to maintain high-quality patient care, improve outcomes, and support staff through training, onboarding, and issue escalation.

Responsibilities

  1. Analyze provider quality performance data to identify trends and gaps in care; track weekly work to support quality reporting.
  2. Assist leaders in establishing performance standards and metrics; develop and refine workflows or data collection methods to ensure accurate measurement and tracking of improvements.
  3. Support medical record capture for HEDIS and quality measure reviews, including abstraction of supplemental data.
  4. Maintain strong knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting the organization (e.g., MACRA, MIPS, eCQM).
  5. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members; escalate process or technology issues as needed.
