Job summary

Aven Hospitality is building the next generation of embedded payments for hospitality, powered by a direct payment processor integration and integrated into the SynXis platform. The Sr. Payments Sales Manager will drive adoption, monetization, and growth of Aven Payments across new and existing customers.

This role owns regional payments revenue growth, GPV expansion, attach rate, and share of wallet. The ideal candidate combines enterprise SaaS sales expertise with payment acceptance,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise software, payments, fintech, or hospitality technology sales experience.
• Proven track record carrying and exceeding quota.
• Experience selling payment processing, merchant acquiring, payment gateways, orchestration, embedded payments, or related solutions.
• Experience building executive relationships and managing complex sales cycles.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

About the Role

The Sr. Payments Sales Manager will drive adoption, monetization, and growth of Aven Payments across new and existing customers.

This role owns regional payments revenue growth, GPV expansion, attach rate, and share of wallet. The ideal candidate combines enterprise SaaS sales expertise with payment acceptance, acquiring, fintech, or embedded payments experience.

What You'll Do

Drive Payments Revenue Growth

• Own regional payments revenue, GPV growth, attach rate, and share-of-wallet targets.
• Build and execute a pipeline strategy focused on payments adoption and expansion.
• Lead sales motions for both new customer acquisition and existing customer migration.
• Convert contracted volume into active live payment customers.

Lead Embedded Payments GTM Execution

• Position Aven Payments as the default payment solution for Booking Engine, Voice Agent, and future supported channels.
• Lead customer conversations around payment modernization, checkout optimization, VCC automation, and operational efficiency.
• Drive adoption of Aven’s payments offering before alternative orchestration models.

Activate the Existing Customer Base

• Identify and prioritize high-GPV customer opportunities.
• Execute backbook migration programs and commercial incentives.
• Partner with Customer Success and Account Management teams to increase payment adoption and utilization.

Partner with Strategic Stakeholders

• Work closely with Product Management, Solutions Engineering, Pricing Strategy, Delivery Services, Finance, and Customer Success.
• Collaborate with strategic partner on strategic account planning, co-sell opportunities, and GTM initiatives.
• Provide customer feedback that influences roadmap, packaging, and monetization strategy.

Executive-Level Selling

• Engage C-level executives, finance leaders, and hotel operators.
• Build business cases demonstrating revenue growth, operational efficiency, improved conversion, and reduced payment friction.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on hospitality payments and financial technology trends.

Experience & Qualifications

Required

• 8+ years of enterprise software, payments, fintech, or hospitality technology sales experience.
• Proven track record carrying and exceeding quota.
• Experience selling payment processing, merchant acquiring, payment gateways, orchestration, embedded finance, or related solutions.
• Experience building executive relationships and managing complex sales cycles.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

Preferred

• Hospitality technology experience.
• Knowledge of card-present and card-not-present payments.
• Understanding of payment processors, acquiring, VCC processing, tokenization, reconciliation, and payment operations.
• Experience working with strategic partners such as Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay, Fiserv, Shift4, or similar providers.
• Experience with platform-based or embedded payments business models.
