Children's Health in Dallas is seeking a Sr Paramedic for a PRN 16-week assignment in the ERC department. This on-site role requires commitment to a rotating 3:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-3:00am, or 7:00pm-7:00am schedule to cover seasonal surges.
The Sr. Paramedic will provide BLS/ALS care under physician supervision, document care in the EMR, administer medications, support patient and family care, and help mentor new staff during surge periods.

The PRN Commit program is a staffing plan to address seasonal surges in patient volumes. Individuals will be expected to commit to a 16-week assignment; opportunities to extend may be available based on patient volumes and staffing need. This is an as needed position; to ensure the best coverage during our season surges, external new hires should be available for 2 12-hour shifts per week. A completion payout is also available to be paid at the end of each 16-week assignment block.
The Sr. Paramedic operating in the Emergency Department will work under the delegation and direct supervision of a licensed physician using approved clinical skills for patients who are classified in the BLS or ALS category. The Sr. Paramedic will provide care to patients under the direction of the medical director to perform functions that support and supplement the health care team. The Sr. Paramedic will assist in managing the customer service experience of the patient and their families during patient care activities.
