Job description

As the Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will work on projects including data migrations, upgrades, configurations, and implementations, leveraging your expertise in Oracle databases, RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, OEM, AWS RDS, Oracle RDS, and PostgreSQL.

Key Responsibilities

1. Database Management: Administer and maintain Oracle 19c databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
2. RAC and Grid Infrastructure: Configure and maintain Oracle RAC and Grid Infrastructure for high availability and scalability.
3. Data Guard: Set up and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and data protection.
4. Data Migrations: Plan and execute data migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime.
5. Projects: Lead and participate in database projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices.
6. OEM: Configure and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring and management.
7. Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance for efficiency.
8. Backup and Recovery: Develop backup and recovery strategies, including Commvault backups using RMAN.
9. Security: Ensure database security and compliance.
10. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation.
11. Stakeholder Communication: Provide updates to management, collaborate with architects, and support development teams.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 6 years as an Oracle DBA with focus on RAC, Data Guard, OEM, AWS RDS, Oracle RDS, PostgreSQL, and RMAN backups.

Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Management, RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, Golden Gate, OEM, Linux OS, shell scripting, and Cron jobs.

Desired Skills

Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven track record of delivering projects on time and supporting best practices in deployment pipelines.
