Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to front the customer relationship and drive smooth warehouse operations across inventory, quality, and safety programs.

This role interacts daily with a Tier 1 automotive customer to prioritize service levels and maintain flawless communication. The ideal candidate has 0–5 years in supervision within warehousing or transportation, plus strong MS Office skills and a detail-oriented, multitasking mindset.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years supervisory or management experience in warehousing, distribution or transportation.
• Degree preferred (Bachelor's or Associate).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and material flow.
• Ensure quality and safety compliance with policies.
• Interact with the customer daily to ensure satisfaction.
• Generate reports on production, quality, safety, timeliness, staffing, maintenance, and discrepancies.
• Act as liaison between company and customers; build positive relationships.
• Perform other tasks delegated by the customer and General Manager.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the overall success of our operations, acting as the face of the company to our Tier 1 automotive customer.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years supervisory or management experience in a warehousing, distribution or transportation environment
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, ability to multitask
• A competitive and career oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Management of inventory and material flow
• Quality and safety compliance management involving company policies and procedures
• Interacting with the customer on a daily basis, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Various reports related to production, quality, safety, timeliness, staffing, maintenance, and discrepancies
• Act as a liaison between the company and customers forming and maintaining positive relationships
• Other tasks delegated by the customer and/or General Manager
