Our Sr. Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives. The Sr. Operations Manager role oversees all aspects of operations at the site and includes managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.

Responsibilities
  • Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and ultimately the fulfillment center to meet and exceed the business plan.
  • Be responsible for overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either inbound or outbound operations.
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for their performance and that of their departments.
  • Leverage the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and incorporating them into improvement plans for the functional area.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
  • Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in the area, and provide needed support for other staff initiatives.
Additional Job Elements
  • Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Walk in the fulfillment center and around the area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length.
  • Stand and/or walk an average of 5 miles daily.
  • Work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, and not air‑conditioned.
  • Access all areas of the building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways) safely and without limitation.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple fulfillment centers across the nation.

The base salary range for this position is listed below: USA, CA, Visalia – 135,000.00 – 182,700.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
