Role Summary

Develops and implements sales strategies for targeted key accounts within a plan, territory, or specific geographic area. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the product/service line and clients' issues and needs. Focuses primarily on acquiring new clients. Typically requires at least three years of related sales experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Obtain new accounts through direct or brokerage channels.
  2. Meet or exceed annual business plans based on new firms, revenue, membership, and profitability objectives.
  3. Maintain prescribed weekly activity levels.
  4. Manage the sales process for Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, and Behavioral health products.
  5. Review and respond to RFPs, develop internal strategies, and present quotations.
  6. Manage prospects database and collaborate with assigned producers.
Qualifications
  1. 5+ years of sales experience preferred.
  2. Prior insurance experience in underwriting, operations, or proven sales track record.
  3. 1-2+ years’ experience in managed care sales.
  4. Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  5. Self-starter capable of working independently or as part of a team to achieve goals.
  6. Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to strategize with matrix partners for presale strategies and proposals.
  8. Must obtain necessary licenses.
  9. Acceptable driving record.

Note: For remote work, internet connection must be via cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds.

This role may be eligible for an incentive compensation plan.
