Job description

Role Summary

Develops and implements sales strategies for targeted key accounts within a specific plan, territory, or geographic area. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the product/service line and understands clients' issues and needs. Primarily focuses on acquiring new clients. Typically requires at least three years of related sales experience.

Responsibilities

  1. Secure new accounts through direct or brokerage channels.
  2. Achieve or surpass the annual business plan, measured by new client acquisition, revenue, membership, and profitability goals.
  3. Maintain designated weekly activity levels.
  4. Manage the sales process for Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, and Behavioral health products.
  5. Review and respond to RFPs, develop internal strategies, and present quotations.
  6. Maintain and update the database of prospects and assigned producers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience; strongly preferred.
  • Previous insurance experience in underwriting, operations, or a proven sales record.
  • 1-2+ years of managed care sales experience.
  • Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently or collaboratively to meet goals.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate strategically with matrix partners for presale strategies and proposals.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses.
  • Valid driving record.

Note: If working remotely, internet service must be via cable broadband or fiber optic provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

This role is expected to be eligible for participation in an incentive compensation plan.
