Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto devices.
• Plan network expansion by recommending designs and connectivity solutions.
• Ensure security policy compliance and best practices across the network.
• Implement SD-WAN, MPLS, wired and wireless connectivity (L2/L3).
• Provide multi-layered technical support to customers via the NOC.

Job description

11:11 is looking for a Senior Network Operations Engineer whose primary responsibility will be to assist with providing 24/7 monitoring, advanced technical support, network design, implementation, and escalation for our global network infrastructure with a focus on 11:11 Systems Connectivity Solutions and Managed Network Solutions. We are looking for someone who is a team player, detail oriented, and has excellent customer service skills with an in-depth technical background as lead Network Engineer or Network architect in previous roles. Both written and verbal communication and being able to drive conversations is critical to this role. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Network Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Fortinet, Cisco and Palo Alto next generation firewall devices supporting 11:11 customers and internal network infrastructure.
• Manage existing customer facing network and help plan for network expansion by recommending designs and hardware and connectivity solutions.
• Develop and review system and network designs to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and security best practices.
• Implement and support technology solutions, such as SDWAN, MPLS, Wired and Wireless Connectivity solutions (Layer 2 and Layer 3), Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Load Balancers in accordance with best practices and company policies.
• Provide multi-layered technical support to our customer base using services supported through our Network Operations Center.
• Review and resolve anomalies that are broad and potentially service impacting. Escalate to appropriate resource or management if necessary.
• Act as an escalation point for customer issues and internal work units.
• Serve as a liaison with customers, vendors, and other third-party providers to troubleshoot issues or work within design sessions.
• Ability to accurately track issues in Ticketing System while providing timely updates to customers on progress and resolutions.
• Obtain and maintain technical certifications to further knowledge of products and services offered by the company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or University degree in a related field of study or an equivalent 8+ years of related work experience required
• Extensive experience with OSI based network flow to apply to complex and hands-on network troubleshooting with debug commands, packet captures and full routing and path analysis.
• Extensive experience with configuration, design, implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco ASA/Firepower and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center
• Extensive experience with configuration, design, implementation and troubleshooting of Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls and Fortinet Product Suite including Fortinet Access-Points and Fortinet Switches
• Extensive experience with Cisco Routers, and Switches including Cisco Nexus Switches.
• Extensive experience with Juniper Switches (EX/QFX), Routers, and Firewalls (SRX).
• Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.
• Extensive experience with SD-WAN design and troubleshooting with a focus on FortiGate SD-WAN implementations.
• Extensive experience with Routing Protocol design, implementation, and troubleshooting (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within NSX environments, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Extensive experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting F5 Load Balancers, including LTM, GTM, and ASM modules.
• In depth experience with VMware NSX-V and NSX-T.
• In depth experience with MPLS design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• In depth experience with troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues.
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect, Security Groups, NACLs) in production environments.
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Cloudflare services (DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust/Access, Tunnel) for production web and application environments.

Compensation and Benefits at 11:11 Systems:

The base salary for this role ranges from $ 85,000 to $120,000.
These ranges are informed by market data, internal equity, and qualifications required by job level. Actual pay is based on multiple factors, including skills, experience, certifications, and location.
