Job summary

Siri InfoSolutions Inc in San Jose, CA seeks a Sr Network Engineer- Juniper Switching for an onsite, full-time role. You will manage and troubleshoot complex data-center and WAN environments, focusing on Juniper switching and Aruba ClearPass integrations.

Requires 8–12 years in enterprise networks, CCNP and Fortinet/SD-WAN expertise; strong incident management and coordination with vendors. Willingness to work 24x7 shifts and mentor junior staff is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, VRRP/HSRP, SNMP.
• Proficient in network monitoring, incident management, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• 24x7 remote network monitoring & management.
• Own networking issues across corporate and shared networks.
• Drive P1/P2 incident resolution and break-fix.
• Coordinate with external vendors on issues and projects.
• Provide hardware support and maintenance for networking components.
• Manage existing and new networking solutions and ensure uptime.
• Handle site expansion and technology refresh projects.
• Escalate and resolve L1/L2 issues with timely actions.
• Document outages and changes; pursue RCA through Problem management.
• Mentor junior team members; participate in change calls and shift handovers.

Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

• o Knowledge on network troubleshooting for Large Data Centers, Large WAN/Network environment.
• o Juniper Switching (Must Have)
• o Provide L3 support for Juniper EX Series Switches. Configure and troubleshoot:

VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP ,LACP , Virtual Chassis

Routing Protocols , Perform switch upgrades, patching, and hardware replacements.

Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues

• o Aruba Wireless with experience on Clear Pass (Must Have)
• o Provide advanced support for Aruba Mobility Controllers and Wireless Networks.
• o Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, authentication, and performance issues.
• o Perform wireless health checks and optimization activities.
• o Configure and support:

SSIDs ;AP Groups ;RF Optimization ;Client Load Balancing ;Mobility & Roaming

• o Manage integrations with ClearPass, RADIUS, and Active Directory.
• o FortiGate SD-WAN (good to have upto L2)
• o Provide L3 support for Fortinet Secure SD-WAN infrastructure.
• o Design, configure, and troubleshoot SD-WAN policies, SLAs, and application steering.
• o Manage IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, Dynamic Routing, and WAN optimization.
• o Troubleshoot routing, security, and performance-related issues.
• o Support HA clusters, firmware upgrades, and migration activities.
• o Analyse logs using FortiAnalyzer and manage configurations using FortiManager.
• o Experience: 8 12 Years (L3)
• o Hand-On experience working with a large Infoblox and Aruba ClearPass deployment.
• o Expert level knowledge with various protocols such as VRRP, HSRP, STP, LACP, SNMP.
• o Recognize the importance of customer focus and/or of serving the needs of the end user.
• o Productivity Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• o 24x7 Remote Network Monitoring & Management.
• o Own the networking issues connecting and supporting the corporate and shared network environment.
• o Drive critical issue resolution/Break-Fix for P1/P2 issues.
• o Coordinate and work with the external vendors for various operational issues and projects.
• o Provide hardware support & maintenance for all networking components.
• o Manage existing and new networking sol utions, including monitoring the network stability and uptime.
• o Handle various projects related to site expansion, Hardware Refresh, Technology refresh as required.
• o Handle escalated issues from L1/L2 team and provide timely resolution.
• o Responding and documenting outages and circuits down through incident reporting.
• o Identify corrective actions for critical incidents and drive them to closure to ensure stability through Problem management process.
• o Interact with various internal users in evaluating the needs and building a right solution to meet the requirements.
• o Documentation and change control.
• o Mentor junior team members and provide guidance in various change tasks.
• o Monitor event logs and services to be proactive in identifying potential issues.
• o Attend scheduled network change calls impacting the network availability.
• o Shift Handover and Shift Updates.
• o CCNP, Juniper Switching , Palo Also Certification would be an added advantage.

Generic Managerial Skills:

• o Bachelor's degree in technology or any other bachelor's degree
• o ~10 years of Enterprise / Telecom Network infrastructure relevant experience.
• o Detailed, oriented with excellent communication skills (written & oral) particularly the ability to communicate with staff who aren't technically trained.
