Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced network engineer to provide L3 support for Juniper EX switches and Fortinet SD-WAN, with Aruba wireless expertise. 8–12 years of enterprise network experience required. You will manage VLANs, routing, VPNs, and monitoring in a large data center environment.

The role requires 24x7 readiness, collaboration with vendors, and strong ITIL-based process knowledge. CCNP or Juniper/Palo Alto certifications are a plus.

• Provide L3 support for Juniper EX Series Switches. Configure and troubleshoot:

VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP ,LACP , Virtual Chassis

Routing Protocols , Perform switch upgrades, patching, and hardware replacements.

Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues

• Aruba Wireless with experience on Clear Pass (Must Have)
• Provide advanced support for Aruba Mobility Controllers and Wireless Networks.
• Troubleshoot wireless connectivity, roaming, authentication, and performance issues.
• Perform wireless health checks and optimization activities.
• Configure and support:

SSIDs ;AP Groups ;RF Optimization ;Client Load Balancing ;Mobility & Roaming

• Manage integrations with ClearPass, RADIUS, and Active Directory.
• FortiGate SD-WAN (good to have upto L2)
• Provide L3 support for Fortinet Secure SD-WAN infrastructure.
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot SD-WAN policies, SLAs, and application steering.
• Manage IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, Dynamic Routing, and WAN optimization.
• Troubleshoot routing, security, and performance-related issues.
• Support HA clusters, firmware upgrades, and migration activities.
• Analyse logs using FortiAnalyzer and manage configurations using FortiManager.
• Experience: 8-12 Years (L3)
• Hand-On experience working with a large Infoblox and Aruba ClearPass deployment.
• Expert level knowledge with various protocols such as VRRP, HSRP, STP, LACP, SNMP.
• Recognize the importance of customer focus and/or of serving the needs of the end user.
• Productivity Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio.

Roles & Responsibilities

• 24x7 Remote Network Monitoring & Management.
• Own the networking issues connecting and supporting the corporate and shared network environment.
• Drive critical issue resolution/Break-Fix for P1/P2 issues.
• Coordinate and work with the external vendors for various operational issues and projects.
• Provide hardware support & maintenance for all networking components.
• Manage existing and new networking sol utions, including monitoring the network stability and uptime.
• Handle various projects related to site expansion, Hardware Refresh, Technology refresh as required.
• Handle escalated issues from L1/L2 team and provide timely resolution.
• Responding and documenting outages and circuits down through incident reporting.
• Identify corrective actions for critical incidents and drive them to closure to ensure stability through Problem management process.
• Interact with various internal users in evaluating the needs and building a right solution to meet the requirements.
• Documentation and change control.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance in various change tasks.
• Monitor event logs and services to be proactive in identifying potential issues.
• Attend scheduled network change calls impacting the network availability.
• Shift Handover and Shift Updates.
• CCNP, Juniper Switching , Palo Also Certification would be an added advantage.

Generic Managerial Skills

• Bachelor's degree in technology or any other bachelor's degree
• ~10 years of Enterprise / Telecom Network infrastructure relevant experience.
• Detailed, oriented with excellent communication skills (written & oral) particularly the ability to communicate with staff who aren't technically trained.
• Presentation skills, quick learner, self-initiated, team player, open to work in shifts to support and monitor the Global Network Infrastructure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills needed to work with various levels of technical staff members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to execute against deadlines.
• Work with internal customers in managing requests/changes/incidents for your areas of work.
• Work with global teams to provide support and complete IT projects.

Salary Range: $86,000 - $120,000 a year
