Job summary

Diné Development Corporation is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer (CONUS) in Houston, TX. The role supports the DoD medical mission, addressing highly complex infrastructure requirements, and serves as the global contact for network issues, configuration management, and network performance.

This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities include troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues, leading teams, and coordinating with government staff and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or certified vocational school with related experience.
  • Mastery-level experience in routed, switched, and shared LAN environments.
  • Security clearance: SECRET required; DoD 8570.01 IAM Level III or equivalent; CCNP and CISSP preferred.

  • Lead Network Specialists and coordinate with Government staff and contractors.
  • Configure firewalls, VPN devices, IDSs, and perform documentation and standards updates.

Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer (CONUS)

Overview

The Senior Network Engineer for CONUS supports the DoD medical mission by addressing highly complex infrastructure requirements for DHA networked facilities. This role serves as the premier network specialist and global point of contact for network issues, configuration management, communications interconnection, addressing, multi-protocol routing, and network management.

*This position is contingent upon contract award.*

Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues; research network-level problems using management tools; provide high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, and troubleshooting of communication equipment; advise Government staff, agencies, and contractors on LAN/WLAN/WAN design, implementation, deployment, and management; lead Network Specialists and internal/external organizations to resolve issues; use tools such as Orion SolarWinds, ARMIS, and Ansible to diagnose and resolve issues across the OSI model; support MIB/MRTG-based performance measurement and downtime reduction; establish and configure firewalls, VPN devices, and IDSs; provide written recommendations, ticket documentation, written standards, and standards updates in coordination with the NetMOD Network Standards Team; study vendor products; establish LAN/WLAN/WAN procedures and standards; communicate request status to key customers; and support standardization, best practices, minimum access standards, and related projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of directly related experience; or certified Technical/Vocational School completion and 10 years of directly related progressive experience. Must have mastery-level experience in routed, switched, and shared LAN environments.
  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, technical degree, or related discipline; or certified Technical/Vocational School completion with required experience.
  • Clearance Requirements: SECRET security level designation required.
  • Certification Requirements: DoD 8570.01 compliance; IAM Level III or equivalent certification required; CCNP and CISSP required.
  • Travel may be required to work site.
  • Other qualifications: Experience with DoD Health Care Information Systems; expertise in Windows networks, Cisco Systems, and SolarWinds; familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and methodologies is desired; strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and related network technologies; ability to communicate effectively with Government officials, medical professionals, and technical personnel, verbally and in writing.
