Qualifications

  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or Economics preferred.
  • Minimum 2-year experience in a technical or analytical role.
  • Proficient in MS SQL, Business Objects, Power Pivot, Microsoft Office/365 applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other BI applications.
  • Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in BI process development and execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize BI initiatives.
  • Optimize information systems, reports and BI technology and train stakeholders.
  • Analyze and organize information for PL Marketing and Kroger using multiple data sources (IRI, 84.51, WebFOCUS Universes, internal databases).
  • Prepare, process, and distribute scheduled reports; troubleshoot data integrity and system issues.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote process improvements and automation.
  • Represent PL Marketing and Kroger to internal and external stakeholders; stay current on BI trends.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Business Intelligence Process Manager is responsible for driving and leading business value for the Kroger Co. and its stakeholders by engineering, testing, and deploying technical solutions using data analytics and business intelligence tools. They will lead and collaborate on data projects, manage processes, identify and improve efficiencies for all stakeholders. Additionally, this role will provide recommendations and continuous technical and analytical support for all relevant people and processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least one half day per week based on your team’s schedule Provide strategic direction, recommendations, and leadership in the development and execution of business intelligence processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business intelligence initiatives. Optimize the use of information system, reports and business intelligence technology by staying current on BI solutions and providing guidance and training to stakeholders. Provide expert analysis, organization, and reporting of information to both PL Marketing and the Kroger Company by leveraging the data available from multiple corporate and syndicated sources such IRI, 84.51, Business Objects Universes, and internal databases. Collect and validate data from various internal systems and data applications. Prepare, process, and distribute scheduled reports on a routine basis using a variety of software. Troubleshoot data integrity, user and system problems and work with the user to achieve positive results Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team. Be a proactive team member with the optimization of information system, reports and technology Professionally and effectively represent both P.L. Marketing and peers with members of the Kroger teams and external stakeholders Stay current on important issues that are impactful to the success of Kroger stakeholders and P.L. Marketing Focus on recognizing technical opportunities and creating efficiencies through process improvement and automation when appropriate Be able to provide training and produce technical guides to end users and other team members. Ability to learn and adopt new programs with minimal supervision. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with minimal supervision Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or Economics preferred Minimum 2-year experience in a technical or analytical role Proficient in MS SQL, Business Objects, Power Pivot, Microsoft Office/365 applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other Business Intelligence applications Preferred experience in Kroger corporate systems and syndicated sources such as 84.51, Market 6, Mintel and IRI Experience with ETL and Automation Processes preferred Data visualization tool experience. Power BI experience preferred. Capacity to learn multiple computer systems and web based applications Experience functioning in a Corporate Office environment Strong organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into a deliverable solution Experience communicating deliverables both in person and through written communication. Ability to adapt to advancing technology and computer solutions Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision Ability to build and maintain positive and productive business relationships with users and team members Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an audience, from senior level executives to business users Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
