Qualifications

  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or Economics preferred.
  • Minimum 2-year experience in a technical or analytical role.
  • Proficient in MS SQL, Business Objects, Power Pivot, Microsoft Office/365 applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other BI applications.
  • Preferred experience in Kroger corporate systems and syndicated sources such as 84.51, Market 6, Mintel and IRI.
  • Experience with ETL and Automation Processes preferred.
  • Data visualization tool experience. Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction, recommendations, and leadership in the development and execution of BI processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize BI initiatives.
  • Optimize information systems, reports and BI technology; stay current on BI solutions and provide guidance.
  • Provide expert analysis, organization, and reporting of information to PL Marketing and Kroger using data from sources like IRI, 84.51, and internal databases.
  • Collect and validate data from various internal systems and data applications.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute scheduled reports using various software.
  • Troubleshoot data integrity, user and system problems; drive positive results.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members; represent PL Marketing and Kroger with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current on issues impacting Kroger stakeholders and PL Marketing; identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Provide training and create technical guides for end users and team members.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Senior Business Intelligence Process Manager is responsible for driving and leading business value for the Kroger Co. and its stakeholders by engineering, testing, and deploying technical solutions using data analytics and business intelligence tools. They will lead and collaborate on data projects, manage processes, identify and improve efficiencies for all stakeholders. Additionally, this role will provide recommendations and continuous technical and analytical support for all relevant people and processes.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least one half day per week based on your team’s scheduleProvide strategic direction, recommendations, and leadership in the development and execution of business intelligence processes.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business intelligence initiatives.Optimize the use of information system, reports and business intelligence technology by staying current on BI solutions and providing guidance and training to stakeholders.Provide expert analysis, organization, and reporting of information to both PL Marketing and the Kroger Company by leveraging the data available from multiple corporate and syndicated sources such IRI, 84.51, Business Objects Universes, and internal databases.Collect and validate data from various internal systems and data applications.Prepare, process, and distribute scheduled reports on a routine basis using a variety of software.Troubleshoot data integrity, user and system problems and work with the user to achieve positive resultsMentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team.Be a proactive team member with the optimization of information system, reports and technologyProfessionally and effectively represent both P.L.
