Job summary

LifeBridge Health in Westminster, Maryland seeks a Medical Physicist to ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of radiotherapy treatments. The role involves equipment compliance, acceptance testing, and pretreatment dosimetry calculations to support safe patient care.

Under minimal supervision, you will assist in radiation safety practices in the department and support the medical physics and dosimetry team, collaborating with the chief medical physicist.

Qualifications

• Master degree in physical sciences and radiologic physics required.
• Ph.D. preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in medical physics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, precision and reproducibility of radiotherapy treatments through equipment compliance and acceptance testing.
• Calculate pretreatment radiation dosimetry and support radiation safety practices in the department.
• Provide hospital radiation safety services in the radiation safety officer's absence.
• Assist the chief medical physicist in directing the workload of the medical physics and dosimetry team.
