Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Jackson, MI is seeking a Sr Med Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and body fluids, delivering timely, accurate results to support patient care.

You will lead and train laboratory staff, establish standard work, and contribute to applied research to introduce new technology. A bachelor’s degree and 3 years of clinical lab experience are required; ASCP-type certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Medical Technology or related science.
• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Certification at technologist or MLS level preferred (ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW).

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited bachelor's degree program in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, or other sciences.
• Three (3) years of experience with progressive responsibility in a clinical laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification at the technologist or medical/clinical laboratory scientist level from a nationally recognized agency, such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW.
