Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Med Lab Technician for our midnight shift at the Macomb County facility. You will perform essential procedures on blood and body fluids, using manual techniques and modern instruments to deliver accurate results that support patient care.

Under supervision, you will conduct phlebotomy as needed, follow established protocols, and help maintain a clean, safe lab environment, while using information systems to ensure efficient specimen processing.

Working under the supervision of laboratory technologists and leaders, you'll ensure accurate and timely results that directly support patient care. Your role is critical in maintaining the high standards of our lab and contributing to the overall health of our community.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
• Alternatively, successful completion of an Associates or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 college courses from specified sciences orCompletion of a military 50-60 week technician program meeting CLIA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MLT certification from ASCP or NCA.
