Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with PE to join our team in a hybrid role in Tampa. You will lead mechanical design efforts for complex building systems, ensuring compliance with codes and delivering high-quality solutions for commercial, healthcare, aviation and high-rise projects.

The ideal candidate has 8 to 10+ years in MEP or engineering consulting, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and a track record of client relationships and BD support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE License required.
• 8–10+ years of experience with an MEP or engineering consulting firm designing HVAC for complex projects.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with commercial buildings, healthcare, theme parks, aviation, high-rise, and multi-family projects.
• Ability to develop HVAC designs from concept through construction.
• Coordinate HVAC with architecture, structure and other disciplines.
• Prepare design calculations and mechanical layouts; develop reports and narratives.
• Experience with client contact and business development support.

• Support business development initiatives by assisting the RFP process and interview process.
• Actively engage in community and/or industry-specific organizations.
• Experience and interest in Sustainable Building Design
• LEED AP or LEED GA with previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
• An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.
