Job summary

LeoForce in Washington, DC area is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer/Dept Head to lead the Mechanical Department and advance MEP design across commercial, healthcare, and government projects. The role requires PE license, REVIT proficiency, and a strong track record in leadership and project delivery.

You will manage design teams, coordinate with architects and other engineers, develop documentation, and ensure quality, schedule, and budgets while promoting a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 12-15+ years of AEC experience preferred.
• 2-3+ years of Leadership experience.
• PE Licensed Required.
• REVIT proficiency required.
• Strong Design and Documentation experience.
• Expert knowledge in mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering.
• Excellent project, people and time management skills.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Department and project teams.
• Oversee design, documentation and coordination for MEP projects.

We are seeking a Mechanical Department Head to Lead our Team. Successful candidates will have a strong background in MEP Consulting (Mechanical, Plumbing, & Fire Protection Engineering) with proven leadership experience. Projects include Commercial Buildings, Mission Critical Facilities, Educational Institutions, Healthcare Facilities, Government Buildings, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• 12 - 15+ years of AEC experience preferred
• 2 - 3+ years of Leadership experience.
• PE Licensed Required
• REVIT Proficiency Required
• Strong Design and Documentation experience
• Expert knowledge of the principles, practices, and trends of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering
