Job summary

Manpower, Inc. in Columbia, Tennessee is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. You will contribute to product development and process optimization, applying your problem-solving skills and proactive mindset to drive results.

You will design and analyze new machinery, create Autodesk Inventor CAD models, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to meet specifications and regulatory standards. A BSME and 8+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant mechanical design and product development experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor) and Vault PDM.
• Strong analytical skills including structural FEA using MSC Nastran or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on design, analysis, and development for new machinery.
• Develop product requirements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Create CAD models/drawings and BOMs in Inventor.
• Conduct tolerance and root cause analyses, develop corrective actions.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure project success.

Location: Columbia, Tennessee

Pay Range:$110,000 - $155,000

What's the Job?

• Perform hands-on product design, analysis, and technical development for new machinery and technologies.
• Develop product requirements, specifications, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor, including Bills of Materials.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure project success.

What's Needed?

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, preferably Autodesk Inventor, and experience with PDM systems like Vault.
• Strong analytical skills, including structural FEA using MSC Nastran or similar tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
