Senior Mechanical Engineer

Locations: Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Chantilly, VA

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL, Chantilly, VA, or Atlanta, GA. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers, self-motivated, proactive communicators, and collaborative team players.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Quality Assurance for federal projects (design-bid-build and design-build)
2. Review contractor submittals and respond to RFIs
3. Evaluate proposed substitutions and recommend to OBO/PD
4. Develop IGEs for modifications and change orders
5. Review design calculations and data
6. Conduct Life Cycle Cost Analyses for mechanical and plumbing systems
7. Prepare Monthly Progress Reports
8. Mentor junior engineers
9. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• 10-15 years of HVAC design experience
• 5+ years in a senior role within the A&E industry
• Recent REVIT and AutoCAD experience
• Professional Engineer License required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
• Willingness to travel internationally

Preferred Skills

• Supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Commissioning
• Experience with LEED documentation

Salary Range

$119,300 - $143,200 annually, based on experience, certifications, and location.
