Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Athens, TN is seeking an Inventory Clerk to compile and maintain inventory and status information to expedite the movement of materials according to schedule and priorities.

You will read schedules and inventory reports to determine stock type and quantity, repack products per order requirements, communicate across departments, and document information in accordance with SOPs, while supporting continuous improvement and upholding GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of related experience.
• Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Read schedules and inventory reports to determine type and quantity required, availability of stock, and order priority.
• Repack products based on order requirements.
• Proactively interact and communicate inter and intra-departmentally to ensure consistent and efficient work flow.
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's.
• Utilize continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all DFA GMP and work in a manner consistent with corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Read schedules and inventory reports to determine type and quantity required, availability of stock, and order priority
• Repack products based on order requirements
• Proactively interact and communicate inter and intra-departmentally to ensure consistent and efficient work flow
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Education and Experience
