Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Sr. Material Handler for onsite work in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves managing material flow, warehouse activities and inventory controls in a 9/80 schedule. You will support shipping, receiving, data entry and ERP-related tasks with a focus on Lean practices.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, 3+ years in manufacturing, strong Excel/data entry skills, and forklift certification (training provided). This is a team-based position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel) and data entry.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs; forklift training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the storage and movement of raw materials, supplies, parts/components and finished goods within the facility.
• Support shipping, receiving and warehouse related activities.
• Execute inventory control processes including cycle counts, variance reconciliation, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
• Process material-related workflows, documentation and records management.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process.

Job Title & Details

Sr. Material Handler

Reporting To: Supervisor, Materials

Work Schedule: Onsite – Salt Lake City, UT. 9/80 schedule (Mon – Thurs, 7:00am – 4:00pm, every other Fri 7:00am – 3:00pm).

Key Responsibilities

• Support the storage and movement of raw materials, supplies, parts/components and finished goods within the facility
• Support shipping, receiving and warehouse related activities
• Execute inventory control processes to include cycle counts, variance reconciliation and ensuring optimal inventory levels
• Process and submit material related workflows, documentation and records management
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process

Qualifications & Requirements

• HS diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Technical skills to include knowledge/use of Microsoft Office suite (including Excel) and Data Entry
• Experience working with ERP systems is a plus but not a requirement
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
• Shipping and receiving experience
• Ability to operate a forklift (We will provide Training/Certification)
• Working in a team environment
• 5S and/or Lean Manufacturing Experience

Salary Range

Salt Lake City, UT $23.00–$26.00 Hourly Salary Range

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
