About the Role
The Sr Master Scheduler at Sierra Space will orchestrate the production schedule and ensure materials are available to meet production demands. The role requires extensive experience in demand and supply planning, advanced computer skills, and the ability to lead and influence strategic planning meetings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, maintaining, and communicating the master production schedule to align with demand and supply requirements.
- Using SAP or ERP/MRP scheduling tools to manage and optimize the production schedule.
- Participating in Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) meetings to facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and align production plans with business goals.
- Analyzing demand and supply data to create accurate production forecasts and schedules, and refining demand/supply planning processes to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
- Generating reports and performing data analysis using advanced MS Excel and MS Project skills to support decision‑making.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on scheduling and production status.
- Applying problem‑solving skills to identify and address scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and other production issues.
- Maintaining accurate scheduling records and ensuring data integrity within scheduling tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (APICS or Lean Six Sigma certification may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Project.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable interfacing with and presenting to senior leadership.
- Experience implementing demand/supply planning (SOP), SAP, and ERP/MRP scheduling tools.
- Proven track record of successful master scheduling in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing complex scheduling data.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in using scheduling and planning software tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS or Lean Six Sigma certifications.
Compensation
Pay Range: $142,911.00 – $196,523.25
