Overview: Xerox Corporation, A Xerox Company, is an information services technology company that has continually redefined the workplace experience for more than 100 years is currently seeking a Toner Manufacturing Supervisor for the Webster Consumables Manufacturing Plant. As a Toner Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be expected to an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the Toner Plant. This is a full-time (2:30PM - 11:00PM with potential shift schedule changes if needed in future) opportunity.
What you will do:
  • Manage workforce behaviors and performance to build culture of high achievement.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Leadership skills encouraging teamwork which includes coaching/counseling of employees while also providing corrective action.
  • The supervisor sets expectations, establishes priorities and optimizes productivity for the workforce of approximately 15 industrial workforce employees.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors on subsequent shifts to provide key information, assure a cohesive schedule, consistent practices and efficient shift transitions.
  • Drive to make operation as efficient and productive as possible through continuous improvement- robust processes/simplify workflows/ look for synergies/ movement of staff to points of need.
  • Work closely with partners within supply chain, engineering and machine repair to manage priorities to accomplish production goals.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees to address concerns.
  • Maintain personnel records related to training, performance, discipline and A&L.
  • Manage attendance and time reporting. Plan, coordinate and balance overtime.
  • Work with union representatives to address concerns and ensure the Collective Bargaining Agreement is consistently followed. Support HR / ethics investigations as required.
  • Develop training material for onboarding new employees and implement plans to ensure cross functional training is administered assuring coverage.
  • Utilize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Software to measure and document manufacturing productivity to reach full potential of the operation.
  • Adherence to ISO 9001 and 14001 quality and environmental standards.

What you need to succeed:
  • Significant experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing people (union management experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage tactical activities while allowing time for strategic thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities required.
  • A technical operations / engineering background preferred.
  • BS / BA degree required.
  • Lean Enterprise and / or Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Proficient use of MS Office Tools required.
