Job summary

Vero Biotech is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead hands-on troubleshooting and development of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated environment. You will own equipment reliability, drive automation initiatives, and analyze production data to improve throughput and quality.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, and R&D to scale up manufacturing, implement new equipment, and maintain compliant documentation and change control processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Five or more years of experience in manufacturing, equipment, automation, controls, or process engineering in an FDA-regulated environment.
• Experience designing, building, integrating, commissioning, or qualifying new manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tooling, or automated systems.
• Experience with equipment qualification, process validation, change control, risk management, and regulated documentation.
• Experience maintaining or developing web-based dashboards, manufacturing performance systems, or data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support on the manufacturing floor by troubleshooting and resolving equipment, tooling, automation, and process issues.
• Lead the design, fabrication, integration, commissioning, and implementation of new manufacturing equipment and automation.
• Develop equipment requirements, functional specs, risk assessments, test plans, and commissioning documentation.
• Own change controls, deviations, nonconformances, CAPAs, and other quality system activities related to manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain and improve the Ignite-based dashboard and ensure data accuracy and visualization of manufacturing performance.
