Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA / Vehicle Group North America division is currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting for tooling usage and advise maintenance technicians on machine repairs.
• Assist with troubleshooting of part quality issues and mentor machine technicians on proper machine setup.
• Drive continuous improvement utilizing lean tools.
• Ensure accurate documentation for processes and quality standards.
• Design and implement product or process changes as required.
• Drive cost reduction efforts and productivity improvements.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams related to product development or process improvement.
• Provide training for operators and maintenance technicians on process changes.
• Maintain an attitude supportive of continuous improvement, teamwork, cooperation, respect, and integrity.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university with 3years of experience working as a manufacturing or process engineer, OR a high‑school degree with 7+years of similar manufacturing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Previous experience with grinding processes, tooling, and a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma project experience.
• Experience with 3‑D CAD modeling and creation of detailed drawings.
• One plus year of experience collaborating and participating in engineering projects.
• Ability to gather and analyze relevant data to optimize throughput, reduce scrap, and improve quality while ensuring safety of plant personnel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills to handle multiple projects and expectations.
