Calqulate Metrics Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a Milwaukee area team. The role focuses on developing, implementing and improving production processes, linking design engineering to the floor to ensure new product introductions and changes meet cost, quality and throughput goals.

You will support line layouts, apply lean concepts, and drive safety improvements while working with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• BS Engineering and 1–6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with multiple projects.
• Proficient with 2D & 3D CAD; Siemens NX preferred.
• Lean / Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience with production line layout is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor.
• Develop operation method sheets for assembly.
• Apply Lean concepts to reduce waste in manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot production line problems.
• Lead initiatives to mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance and reduce costs.
• Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line/cell layout, tooling, and part flow.
• Capital equipment justification.
• Advance safety and ergonomic practices.

As the link between design engineering and the production floor you provide the manufacturing expertise needed to implement the production of new products as well as processing changes to existing products. This position is responsible for maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughout. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor. Manages the integration of new products into existing lines with an understanding of new processes that affect online balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.
• Develop Operation Method Sheets (i.e. how best to assemble products)
• Uses advanced understanding of Lean Concepts and continuous improvement needed for reduction of waste within manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot production line problems
• Lead initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance and reduce costs
• Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line / cell layout, tooling, and part flow
• Capital equipment justification
• Work to advance safety and ergonomic practices

What they are looking for

• BS Engineering and 1 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (if under 3 years’ experience 3.0+ GPA is needed)
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment with multiple projects going on
• Proficient computer skills including 3D & 2D CAD (Siemens NX would be great), Word, Excel, and Access
• Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma
• Any experience with production line layout would be very helpful
