Sr Manager - Virtualization Engineering### Sr Manager - Virtualization EngineeringApply: Office: Columbus, OH: Full time: Posted Today: R0076522# **Description****This role will be onsite at our Easton Oval office in Columbus, OH.****Summary:** The Sr Manager - Virtualization Engineering will manage the activities of IT Operations and Infrastructure Services teams through staff and/or subordinate managers and supervisors. This individual will be responsible for VMWare cloud foundation and virtual desktop infrastructure as well as automation engineering for virtualization platforms. **Duties and Responsibilities:*** Develops strategic direction for present and future IT services* Participates in strategic planning with IT senior management and with business leaders* Plans and manages complex and strategic enterprise-wide projects.* Responsible for ensuring that availability SLAs are met, failed customer interactions (FCIs) are minimized, and technology currency is maintained for supported systems* Oversees the planning, scheduling, assignment and monitoring of staff and resources for assigned areas of responsibility* Develops and maintains processes to ensure ongoing support for responsible systems* Maintains fiscal accountability and is responsible for financial budgets* Maintains a high level of technical expertise related to assigned departmental functions and stays current in technical enhancements, methodologies and trends that particularly apply to Huntington* Performs other duties as assigned **Basic Qualifications:*** Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of experience in IT infrastructure* 10+ years of related experience in client and server infrastructure **Preferred Qualifications:*** Demonstrated technical competence and ability to stay current with changing industry trends* Demonstrated use of standards, policies, and best practices within the server and desktop virtualization* Strong vendor management including vendor negotiation skills* Experience with deployment and system build automation* Ability to initiate new efforts through requirements gathering and drive the team to completion* Ability and drive to implement continuous process improvements* Strong Project Management experience* Results driven, ensuring short-term goals are achieved while supporting long-term initiatives with an appropriate sense of urgency* Strong technology skills with the ability to produce relevant information from teams and make critical decisions* Management and leadership skills to attract, retain, and motivate high talent professionals* Excellent ability to motivate and influence a cross functional team to perform above normal expectations* Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills* Experience in the financial industry desirable.* Experience with the IT PMO and other technical and application teams on the estimation, budgeting, accounting and other requirements related to project delivery* Proven methodical approach to problem identification, problem solving and resolution using analytics and diagnostics in a timely manner* Strong technology skills with the ability to produce relevant information from teams and make critical decisions* Great Aptitude for technology and demonstrated independent knowledge**Exempt Status: (Yes** = not eligible for overtime pay) (**No** = eligible for overtime pay)Yes**Workplace Type:**OfficeOur Approach to **Office** Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
