Investor Advice Solutions consists of Schwab Wealth Advisory, Centralized Service & Operations, and Wealth Strategies Consulting Group. Schwab Wealth Advisory is a premier, fee-based, non-discretionary investment advisory service providing clients with personalized relationships, specialized service, and ongoing advice based on Schwab’s investment approach. The Centralized Service & Operations group supports Fixed Income and Schwab Wealth Advisory clients via the client-facing phone teams. The Wealth Strategies Consulting Group addresses complex wealth management needs through our Planning and Wealth Strategy teams, offering specialized products to meet income, risk mitigation, and liquidity needs.

As a Sr. Manager, Sr. Wealth Advisor, you will collaborate with clients to build comprehensive wealth strategies and provide ongoing advice aligned with their objectives, adapting to life changes.

Sr. Manager, Sr. Wealth Advisors operate as fiduciaries within Schwab Wealth Advisory, Inc. ('SWAI'), a registered investment advisor and affiliate of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.

You will provide ongoing advice to clients through a virtual relationship, with opportunities to visit your assigned markets and clients. SWAI’s advice philosophy leverages a broad range of holistic wealth management products to assist clients with larger and more sophisticated portfolios and planning needs. Responsibilities include:

Personalized Approach:

  • Constructing customized portfolios and providing advice tailored to clients’ individual goals and life stages, adapting to changing needs

Complete Wealth Management Strategy:

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring Investment Policy Statements that outline investment goals, preferences, and risk tolerance based on Schwab’s investment philosophy

Experienced Team:

  • Building strong collaborative relationships with Schwab branch partners and financial planners to maintain and grow a high-net-worth client practice

You will have access to tools, resources, and support, including:

  • Client relationship management software
  • Financial planning software for customized client portfolios
  • Third-party and proprietary research for advice support
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities

What you have

We prioritize high performance, quality service, and executing the SWAI strategy. Essential skills include:

  • CWS or CPWA designation
  • CFP or CFA designation
  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 license (may consider a 90-day condition)
  • Active and valid FINRA Series 66 license (to be obtained within 120 days)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five+ years advisory experience
  • Seven+ years in financial services working directly with clients (highly preferred)

In addition to salary, this role is eligible for bonuses or incentives.
