The Sr. Regional Manager, part of the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD), provides chemistry solutions across various markets including pharmaceutical, agrochemical, diagnostic, detection, electronic, fuel cell, paints, and coatings. LCD supports customers from research and development through manufacturing worldwide.

How will you make an impact?

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales – NA, the Sr. Sales Manager will lead and manage a team of sales representatives to sell the full LCD portfolio. This role focuses on developing growth opportunities within existing customer bases and through channel partnerships, ensuring market penetration, new business development, and achieving sales and profitability targets. The role covers the East Region of the United States and involves regional travel.

What will you do?

  • Lead a sales team to achieve bookings, revenue, profitability, and market share growth using Salesforce.com CRM and PowerBI.
  • Manage talent acquisition, coaching, mentoring, training, development, and performance of team members.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans to grow the Fine Chemical Products and Laboratory Analytical Reagents segments.
  • Lead sales activities such as presentations, focus groups, technical seminars, and product launches to drive sales.
  • Promote the Laboratory Chemicals’ value proposition internally and externally.
  • Provide market intelligence and account sales details as needed.
  • Oversee daily sales activities to ensure customer focus and timely responses.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the commercial sales plan for the territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal channel partners and distribution teams.
  • Coordinate joint calls with channel and distribution leadership for sales and technical training.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Science or Business preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in sales, preferably in the life sciences industry, with 2+ years in sales management preferred.
  • Experience leading a proactive, 'hunter-minded' sales team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Understanding of product profitability and business financials
  • Ability to travel 50-75%
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.com
