Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience within a manufacturing, consumer products, industrial, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience supporting Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Operations functions.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, business partnering, investment analysis, and cost management.
  • Experience developing business cases, capital investment analyses, and sourcing evaluations.
  • Advanced financial modeling and data analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

Job Summary The Senior Finance Manager, Procurement is a strategic business partner to the Procurement organization, responsible for driving value creation through financial leadership, sourcing strategy support, productivity delivery, capital investment governance, and enterprise-wide cost optimization. This role partners closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Commercial teams to influence sourcing decisions, improve profitability, and ensure disciplined execution of cost savings and capital investment programs. As a key member of both the Finance and Procurement leadership teams, the Senior Finance Manager provides financial insight, challenge, and governance to maximize shareholder value while supporting long-term growth, supply resiliency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Finance Partnership

Serve as the primary finance business partner to Procurement leadership. Influence sourcing strategies through financial analysis, market intelligence, risk assessment, and value creation opportunities. Support development and execution of annual procurement strategies across direct materials, indirect spend, logistics, packaging, commodities, and services. Provide financial leadership in supplier negotiations, contract evaluations, and strategic sourcing initiatives. Partner with category managers to identify and deliver sustainable productivity and cost savings opportunities.

Cost savings and Productivity management

Lead governance of procurement productivity programs and ensure accurate tracking of savings realization. Validate savings methodologies, financial impacts, timing of benefits, and P&L delivery. Establish robust controls to measure cost avoidance, cost reduction, value engineering, and supplier innovation programs. Develop executive reporting and dashboards to monitor procurement performance against financial commitments. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize total cost.

Commodity and Market analytics

Translate commodity market trends, inflation, currency impacts, and economic drivers into actionable financial insights. Assess risks and opportunities related to raw material markets including agricultural commodities, packaging materials, resins, chemicals, energy, and transportation. Support forecasting and scenario planning for commodity volatility and supply chain disruptions. Develop financial models to support hedging strategies and risk mitigation initiatives where applicable.

Cost Optimization & Productivity

Identify and drive cost reduction and productivity initiatives across the network. Lead analysis of COGS, manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, and other key cost drivers. Support evaluation of automation, process redesign, sourcing changes, and footprint initiatives.

Capital Investment Procurement Finance support

Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Capital Project teams on strategic capital investment programs. Provide financial leadership for major capital equipment sourcing decisions, plant expansions, manufacturing automation, and supply chain network investments. Evaluate supplier proposals, commercial terms, total cost of ownership, and project economics. Lead financial assessment of capital procurement strategies including should-cost analyses, vendor selection, and sourcing recommendations. Validate business cases, ROI, NPV, IRR, payback, and cash flow projections for capital investments. Monitor project spend, capital commitments, forecasts, and financial benefits realization throughout project lifecycles. Ensure compliance with corporate capital governance and investment approval requirements.

Financial Planning and Analysis

Lead budget, forecast, strategic plan, and monthly performance review processes for procurement-related spend categories. Partner with business leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and corrective actions. Develop long-range financial plans linked to sourcing and productivity strategies. Support annual operating plan development and tracking of procurement initiatives.

Governance and Controls

Ensure compliance with financial policies, procurement procedures, and internal controls. Drive transparency and consistency in savings reporting, capital project accounting, and investment tracking. Support internal and external audit requirements related to procurement and capital expenditures. Establish best practices for financial stewardship across procurement activities.

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience within a manufacturing, consumer products, industrial, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience supporting Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Operations functions.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, business partnering, investment analysis, and cost management.
  • Experience developing business cases, capital investment analyses, and sourcing evaluations.
  • Advanced financial modeling and data analytics capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business decisions.
Preferred
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced qualification.
  • Experience in a global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization.
  • Knowledge of commodity markets, procurement analytics, and supplier economics.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar planning and analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting capital investment projects.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $124,818-$187,226/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
