Job description

Position Summary

The Procurement Manager facilitates procurement processes across company operations to ensure cost effective purchasing and a reliable supply chain. This role delivers value through optimized procurement strategies, strong supplier management, effective contract administration, and close collaboration with operations, accounting, project controls, and key suppliers.

  • Streamline procurement processes through proactive engagement and clear communication with stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor and develop procurement team members
  • Identify stakeholder purchasing needs, cost-savings, and efficiency opportunities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Resolve issues with innovative, value-driven solutions
  • Drive and ensure compliance with procedures, processes, and policies
  • Oversee the supplier selection process, conduct supplier evaluations and performance analysis
  • Improve system and software efficiency through analysis, testing, research, and review
  • Partner with accounts payable to monitor supplier accounts and ensure timely, accurate payments
  • Produce and present reports on procurement metrics and related activities
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks and projects.
Education and Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • 5+ years of progressive procurement experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration is a plus.
  • Any relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving cost savings and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software; familiarity with data analysis tools a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Adept to work independently, manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality
  • Ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress towards goals while meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in procurement and accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to compile and analyze data to generate reports
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles, applicable regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with various departments and levels of personnel.
