Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, New Business Strategy to lead strategic development and program management for loyalty and rewards platforms within eCommerce.

The role involves guiding project planning, prioritization, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with HQ and regional teams. You will define program strategy, establish governance, manage budgets and resources, develop KPI dashboards, and ensure timely delivery while communicating findings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of Product, Online, Sales, or Marketing Management experience, preferably in a telecommunication or FMCG environment.
  • Experience with team management and leadership.
  • Sales and Financial management of significant sized business.
  • Experience planning, organizing, and managing.
  • Experience with senior stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
  • Portfolio management of significant sized business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic direction and programs for new sellout platforms focusing on Loyalty and Rewards.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and evaluation of key eCommerce projects.
  • Define strategy, objectives, governance, and metrics; manage budgets and risks.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensure timely reporting and decision making.
  • Provide capacity planning, resource tracking, and financial管理 across the program portfolio.
  • Collaborate with HQ and regional teams to align product/marketing strategies.

Role and Responsibilities
  • This role has the overall responsibility for strategic development and program management for new sellout platforms with a focus on Loyalty and Rewards programs.
  • You will oversee the planning, execution and evaluation of key projects within eCommerce.
  • You will be responsible for the strategic vision and blueprint development; benefits and quality management; stakeholder management; portfolio management; program, project planning including milestone management; and risk and issue management.
  • Operationally, the Senior Manager, New Business Strategy provides and enables project prioritization, management information, financial reporting, resource planning, decision making, and recruitment.
  • Create and ensure the successful implementation of program strategy, objectives, targets, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with eCommerce leadership and HQ on project deliverables.
  • Manage program reporting and prepare regular status reporting.
  • Establish frameworks and standards for Program and Project Management.
  • Manage and compile Program related financial and KPI information.
  • Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed.
  • Provide and maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking service across the Program planned.
  • Track financial reporting whilst ensuring that the program and projects adhere to the agreed budget.
  • Ensure cross-program dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained.
  • Build cohesion within the team and motivate team to produce quality work.
  • Define and embed project control and governance.
  • Provide Project planning, Milestone management, Scope management, Resource forecasting; Financial Management; Change Management across the project portfolio.
  • Ensure budgets are managed according to divisional requirements.
  • Data synthesis and interpretation (assessing key change drivers).
  • Data forecasting (e.g., using regressions, predictive modeling).
  • Preparing C-level reports communicating findings in a succinct and visual manner.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration.
  • Communicate regularly and closely with HQ, Head of Departments and Business Managers regarding information related to products as required to ensure effective and timely support.
  • Close partnership with RHQ to leverage portfolio learnings across countries.
  • Closely work with Samsung’s distributors to enable achievement of targets.
  • Works closely with corporate marketing functions (Digital, Social, PR, .com) to ensure division strategy and plans are effectively implemented and reviewed.

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of Product, Online, Sales, or Marketing Management experience, preferably in a telecommunication or FMCG environment.
