Based in Laredo, the role requires strong leadership of 100+ staff, cross-functional collaboration with operations, and hands-on use of TMS/WMS systems,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Logistics, Business, or related field required.
  • 8+ years in logistics or supply chain management; 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strategic thinking and multi-facility logistics alignment.
  • Analytical problem-solving using data to improve distribution.
  • Regulatory compliance with U.S. and Mexico transport rules.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional team management.
  • Negotiation and vendor/carrier relationship management.
  • Excellent communication with leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate carrier, broker, and 3PL contracts.
  • Lead data-driven optimization of distribution across facilities.
  • Ensure U.S. and Mexico regulatory/trade compliance.
  • Implement and monitor TMS/WMS and KPI reporting.

Job description

The Senior Manager, Logistics is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end distribution of consumer goods and services, ensuring operations are executed with maximum efficiency and profitability. This role leads the development and execution of logistics strategies across multiple facilities, manages carrier and vendor relationships, and drives continuous process improvement. The Senior Manager partners closely with operations leadership to align logistics solutions with business objectives and ensures full compliance with applicable U.S. and Mexico regulations.

  • Carrier, broker, and 3PL contract negotiation
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. and Mexico regulatory/trade compliance knowledge
  • TMS/WMS proficiency; KPI reporting experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strogly preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role provides direct supervision for 100 or more staff members. MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE LEADING FACILITIES WITH 100+ staff members.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, including at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
  • Strategic Thinking - Develops and executes multi-facility logistics strategies aligned to business goals.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving - Applies data and scientific principles to evaluate distribution effectiveness and drive efficiency.
  • Leadership & People Management - Leads cross-functional teams and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensures adherence to U.S. and Mexico transportation and customs regulations.
  • Negotiation & Relationship Management - Manages carrier partnerships and vendor contracts to optimize cost and service levels.
  • Communication - Advises leadership on logistics topics and presents solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Language Skills:
  • This role requires superior verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish is also STRONLY preferred)
Physical Demands:
  • This position requires the ability to work with the computer for long period of time.
