Job summary

Confidential, a leading process manufacturing organization, seeks an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution in a multi‑shift setting.

You will manage logistics activities, drive cost reductions, improve service levels, and support operational excellence through robust supply chain practices and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics and distribution experience.
• Experience leading logistics or warehouse teams.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of transportation, inventory, warehousing, and supply chain processes.
• Experience with 3PL, carriers, and freight operations.

Job description

A leading process manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution operations within a multi-shift manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing logistics activities, improving supply chain efficiency, and ensuring the timely movement of raw materials and finished goods. The Logistics Manager will play a key role in reducing costs, improving service levels, and supporting overall operational excellence through effective supply chain management.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, warehouse management, or distribution operations.
• Experience managing employees and leading logistics or warehouse teams.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation management, inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes.
• Experience managing third-party logistics providers, carriers, and freight operations.

Special Requirements:

• APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or other supply chain certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and logistics compliance requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and logistics software platforms.
• Ability to work onsite within a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
