The Sr, Manager, IT Strategy & Planning leads the development, coordination, and execution of strategic planning activities for the Digital Division. Reporting to the Executive Director, IT Strategy & Enterprise Portfolio Management, this role translates enterprise and technology priorities into actionable roadmaps, operating plans, performance measures, and executive-level recommendations. This role oversees market research and benchmarking, strategic performance management, executive communications, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement initiatives that support division priorities. This role partners with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to facilitate decision‑making, align resources, monitor progress, and improve organizational performance. In addition, this role leads and develops a team responsible for delivering assigned programs and initiatives.
Lead the development, refinement, and execution of the Digital Division’s strategic roadmap, annual operating priorities, and multi‑year technology plans.
Translate enterprise objectives and leadership direction into actionable initiatives, performance measures, and implementation plans.
Facilitate strategic planning activities, assess organizational capabilities, and identify opportunities, dependencies, and risks.
Partner with IT and business leaders to align technology priorities and investments with business objectives.
Partner with division leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness, workforce capabilities, employee engagement, and succession planning.
Oversee division‑wide communications, learning and development initiatives, leadership meetings, town halls, strategic off‑sites, and employee engagement programs that promote alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Support the development and refinement of operating models, organizational capabilities, and workforce priorities.
Lead the annual planning cycle for assigned Digital Division initiatives, performance objectives, resource needs, and workforce priorities.
Manage strategic performance frameworks, including objectives, key performance indicators, executive dashboards, and maturity assessments.
Analyze performance trends, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
Partner with Finance, HR, and functional leaders to support headcount planning, workforce strategies, organizational effectiveness, and talent initiatives.
Establish governance routines to monitor progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes across strategic initiatives.
Support the Executive Director and Digital Division leadership by developing executive presentations, business reviews, strategic planning materials, and decision‑support analyses.
Synthesize complex business and technology information into clear recommendations for executive and non‑technical audiences.
Facilitate leadership discussions and operating forums that support alignment, accountability, and timely decision‑making.
Coordinate leadership meetings, strategic off‑sites, town halls, and other division‑wide communications.
Lead external research and benchmarking across financial services, automotive finance, and technology industries.
Evaluate emerging technologies, market developments, peer practices, and operating‑model trends to identify potential business implications.
Translate research and analysis into practical insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
Maintain relevant industry relationships and research resources that support ongoing strategic planning.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in IT strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, digital transformation, enterprise portfolio management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.
Experience leading cross‑functional strategic initiatives and partnering with senior leadership in a large, complex organization.
Experience in financial services, automotive finance, technology, or another regulated industry is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Strategy, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
Relevant certifications in strategy, project or portfolio management, change management, or technology management are preferred.
Advanced knowledge of strategic planning, business strategy, organizational effectiveness, and enterprise technology planning.
Ability to analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, organizational performance, and complex data to develop actionable recommendations.
Ability to translate strategic priorities into roadmaps, performance measures, operating plans, and measurable outcomes.
Ability to influence senior leaders, build collaborative relationships, and drive alignment across a matrixed organization.
Knowledge of performance management frameworks, key performance indicators, executive dashboards, and business performance analysis.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to executive and non‑technical audiences.
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, performance management, and team‑development capabilities.
