Our success is driven by a commitment to customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and continuous innovation.
Position Summary
Lead the successful delivery of customer-facing technology programs in a fast-paced 3PL environment. As the Senior Manager, IT Programs, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customer system onboarding initiatives, managing projects from handoff through go-live and hypercare. You will drive cross-functional coordination among IT, operations, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are prioritized, executed, and delivered on time.
This role owns the IT project intake process, portfolio prioritization, project governance, onboarding playbooks, and delivery communications. You will oversee technology support for warehouse launches and closures, coordinate network and security initiatives, and develop operational SOPs and training programs that create scalable, repeatable processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced program manager with logistics or supply chain technology expertise, strong customer-facing communication skills, and a proven ability to lead complex, multi-workstream initiatives in a high-growth environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Own customer onboarding end to end. Be the steady, trusted point of contact for customers and account managers on WMS, EDI, label, and retailer-compliance onboarding. Run the intake questionnaire with the commercial team, scope the account, set the go-live date and the go/no-go with operations, sequence the Blue Yonder configuration, EDI build, and label work across the enterprise-applications lead and our vendors, run hypercare, and close out with evidence. Take over the live customer onboarding threads so no relationship depends on one person.
- Build the standardized onboarding playbook. Templates and SLAs per customer type, the go-live test library (receiving and putaway, pick and ship, labels, interfaces), training materials, and cycle-time metrics. Onboarding time and defect rate should fall visibly within your first two quarters.
- Refresh and teach the operational SOPs. Rebuild the warehouse-systems SOPs for operations, run training and retraining with site leaders, and work with engineering to make the SOPs queryable so the floor stops depending on one person’s memory.
- Own IT intake, triage, and routing. Run the single intake path for enterprise-application, EDI, and IT project requests (built with the IT Operations Manager in ServiceDesk Plus). Decide what is an incident, a request, or a project. Route each to the enterprise-applications lead, IT operations, the platform engineer, or a vendor, and drive it to done. Hold the line on what is not a priority; a clear “no, here is why” is a valid answer.
- Run the IT delivery cadence. Chair the weekly Application Project List and the WMS/Applications meeting, keep one prioritized view of the portfolio (ClickUp, ServiceDesk Plus, Jira), and publish written status to the CTO and the business. Bring leadership only the decisions that need them.
- Own the Project Brief process. Every project at every size opens with a one-to-two-page brief: requirements, scope and size off the sizing decision tree, acceptance criteria agreed before build, named accountable owner, operations owner, and account manager whenever a client is affected, and a change log with names and dates. Break-fix and data corrections stay in the ticket queue.
- Run the IT side of warehouse openings and closings. Scope go-live essentials with operations leaders, phase the rest, and coordinate WMS site setup (enterprise applications), network, connectivity, and hardware (IT operations), EDI, and cutover.
- Coordinate cybersecurity and network projects. Sequence, track, and report the network standardization and security workstreams with the IT Operations Manager and the external providers. Strategy and risk decisions stay with the security owner; delivery coordination is yours.
- Own change and release governance. A clean UAT-to-production path, access controls, and an audit trail across the application portfolio, applied equally to vendor-delivered work. The builder never certifies their own acceptance: you coordinate verification by the operations owner, with the account manager on client-facing rows.
- Track vendors and renewals outside the Blue Yonder and EDI contracts. SOW milestones, deliverables, and renewal timing so deadlines do not surprise the business. Commercial terms and budget sit with the CTO.
- Collaborate with product and engineering. Partner with the warehouse product manager and the forward-deployed engineers where onboarding and customer requests touch the product roadmap. They build; you run the customer’s timeline.
- Protect the technical bench and the CTO’s time. Absorb the coordination, prioritization, requirement-gathering, and stakeholder communication that would otherwise pull them away from the work only they can do.
Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years’ experience PMP or equivalent work experience.
- WMS rollout or implementation experience in a warehousing or 3PL context (required, any modern WMS).
- Site launch experience.
- Exceptional communication and presence (a hard screen).
- Cross-systems coordination without being the engineer.
- Prioritization and outcome ownership.
- Autonomy. You are comfortable as the most senior project person in the room, reporting directly to an executive with no PM peer.
- Written-first operating discipline.
- AI fluency (a required minimum bar)
- Southern California based, able to work hybrid at the City of Industry headquarters and travel 50% to sites.
Strongly Preferred
- NetSuite, CargoWise, or other ERP and TMS implementation exposure.
- Has built an SOP library and a training program from scratch.
- Network or infrastructure project coordination (circuits, hardware, site cutovers).
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
- Experience in a fast-moving, PE-backed or owner-operated company.
