iDC Logistics Inc. is seeking a Second Shift Supervisor to oversee 24/7 warehouse operations, including unloading, processing, loading, and shipping to ensure timely, accurate, and safe freight handling.

The role emphasizes staff planning, SOP development, budgeting input, KPI/LOS targets, and developing a productive team while maintaining customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Eight years of supervisory or managerial experience in a high-volume warehouse or similar environment.
  • Experience with operating budgets, capital projects, cost-reduction initiatives, and productivity improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with WMS/YMS is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 24/7 warehouse operations including scheduling, unloading, processing, loading and shipping of freight.
  • Maintain safe, injury-free operations and meet LOS and KPI requirements.
  • Plan and optimize labor utilization to meet productivity targets.
  • Forecast staffing, workload and performance to meet business demands.
  • Develop SOPs and drive continuous improvement to maximize ROI.
  • Develop and manage a productive staff through recruitment, performance management, and recognition.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of all subordinate personnel.
  • Foster high levels of productivity and engagement among staff.
  • Meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality of service.
  • Contribute to annual operating budgets, capital investments, cost reductions, and accident prevention programs.
  • Demonstrate strong management planning, organizing, and communication skills.

Description
2nd SHIFT
Position Summary

Plans, organizes and executes all facets of daily activity involving the manufacturing and refurbishing operations, unloading, processing and loading of freight, and all other operations in order to accomplish timely, accurate, safe and cost-effective shipment of goods to customer locations either personally or through a staff of supervisors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures Facility housekeeping and the safe and injury-free operation of all activity conducted on a 24/7 basis related to the scheduling, unloading, processing, loading and shipping of freight.
  • Oversees customer relationships and the meeting or exceeding of customer expectations in terms of LOS and KPI requirements including the timely, damage free and accurate shipment of goods.
  • Plan and implement the efficient utilization of labor in order to achieve budgeted CPU and Units per Hour productivity objectives.
  • Forecast staffing, workload and performance results to meet business demands for workload and performance results for area of responsibility.
  • Establish standard operational procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement activities to achieve optimum efficiency and budgeted return on investment (ROI) objectives.
  • Develop a highly productive staff of subordinates by actively participating in recruitment, selection, performance management, and reward/recognition programs.
  • Provide for the safety and well-being of all subordinate personnel.
  • Create and maintain high levels of employee productivity and engagement.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations pertaining to timeliness and quality of service.
  • Actively participate in the development of annual operating budgets, capital investment, cost reduction, continuous improvement, and accident prevention programs.
  • Demonstrate effective management planning, organizing, communicating, directing, controlling, and innovating skills.
  • Effectively resolve customer service problems with timely customer interaction and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Eight years of demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in a high-volume warehouse, preferably cross dock or transloading, distribution, manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Prior experience with the preparation of operating budgets, capital improvement projects, cost reduction initiatives, and productivity improvement plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office Suite essential; prior experience with Warehouse Management and Yard Management Systems desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
