ABOUT THE JOB

We’re looking for an experienced field marketing professional to oversee our field marketing and local activation efforts at Galileo. This role will be responsible for the strategy and execution across our hyper-local markets making Galileo an active member of our communities and helping grow our brand at our host schools, surrounding schools, and their communities. This individual will play a critical role in improving customer acquisition and retention by having Galileo show up in meaningful ways within the communities we serve. The Sr. Manager - Field Marketing will work closely with cross-functional partners such as Creative, Curriculum, Field Operations and Customer Service teams.

YOU WILL

• You’ll develop awareness and acquisition strategies. Develop and drive field marketing strategy and execution across our five regions: Bay Area, Southern California, Seattle, Denver, and Chicagoland in collaboration with the Operations team based on identified gaps and high priority strategies. It will be important to develop strategies at a hyper local level with the goal of improving brand recognition, consideration and trial - particularly at feeder schools through the participation in local events, leveraging brand ambassadors, local social media channels, and other local partnerships.
• You’ll communicate with our customers and develop customer insights. During the summer, you’ll get close to our customers to identify, distill and communicate potential areas of attention to continue to develop a great camp experience and product. This could mean engaging with parents in person, reviewing customer survey data, and running tests to prove hypotheses.
• You’ll be a conduit into all the camp fun so that we can continue to produce relevant content. You will visit our locations on a regular basis to grab fresh content on the day-to-day goings-on of camp and work with the marketing team to leverage these assets across organic and paid media channels. You will also own the strategy and deployment of our add-on week strategy and work with our Camp Directors to ensure it is implemented properly to capture as many add-on weeks as possible.
• You’ll put together the site-level go-to-market plan to aid in delivering the acquisition and retention numbers for each of our sites. Oversee all hyper-local media, events, direct mail, etc. investments to ensure we have the right share of mind in parents’ minds as we prepare for the upcoming camp season. You will research, vet, and manage opportunities for in-person events and partnerships and prioritize across regions building a field marketing playbook and ensuring that we have the necessary assets to support all activations.
• You’ll manage our vendor partners. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing the budget for field marketing execution and the vendors and partners that we would engage with.

YOU HAVE

• Analytical and data-driven mindset with demonstrated ability to understand key performance drivers and turn insights into actionable and success tactics. Experience leveraging BI tools for analysis.
• Demonstrated history of activating against a portfolio of sites.
• Strong understanding of hyper-local marketing levers, event marketing, and ambassador programs.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
• Focus on the delivery of results in the form of acquisition, retention, referrals, leads, and revenue.
• Skill and experience with soliciting and implementing feedback to improve performance.
• Ability to travel to visit territories throughout the year and regularly visit camps during the summer months.

WORK LOCATION

This role can be located in any one of our territories (Bay Area, Southern California, Seattle, Denver or Chicagoland area). Regular travel to camp locations during the summer is expected, including locations outside of the employee’s home territory. Employee will be expected to attend camp fair and school events which may take place after hours or on weekends in the home territory.

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

• This is a Full Time, exempt role. We anticipate the compensation for this position to be $110,000 - $140,000. Your exact compensation will be based on a variety of factors including geography and professional experience.
