Sr. Manager / Director of Demand Generation

About Us:

Trusted and loved by 25 million educators, students, and families worldwide, Seesaw is the world’s leading elementary learning experience company, offering an award-winning platform and a suite of digital curriculum products for teachers to deliver joyful, accessible instruction. Through interactive lessons, digital portfolios, and two-way communication features, Seesaw keeps everyone in the learning loop by providing continuous visibility into the student's learning experience to support and celebrate their learning.

Our Mission:

Seesaw’s mission is to provide every elementary student with joyful and connected learning experiences that lay the foundation for success in life.

Your Team:

This role is part of the Marketing team. You will collaborate closely with internal partners across Sales and Product to ensure alignment on campaign goals, lead management processes, and overall go-to-market strategy. You’ll become an expert in the company’s full funnel—understanding how prospects move through the buyer journey and where marketing can drive the most impact. While this is not a customer-facing role, you will indirectly support customer success by driving a qualified pipeline and delivering meaningful, measurable experiences through automated campaigns and digital touchpoints.

Your Role

This role is open to candidates with a range of experience and leadership capabilities, and the final title (Director or Senior Manager) will be based on qualifications and fit. We are looking for an exceptional Demand Gen marketing leader who is ready to use their experience, knowledge, and leadership skills to build, optimize, and scale impactful marketing automation and demand generation programs. You’ll develop and execute demand generation strategies that align with national and international data privacy and consent regulations, adapting tactics to match local legal frameworks, and identifying and implementing alternative lead generation methods in regions where direct outreach is restricted by opt-in requirements.

You’ll execute a calendar of activities that leverage the right content, to the right audiences at the right time, helping drive awareness, conversion, and long-term growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own and optimize the full marketing automation lifecycle, with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Pardot
  • Build and manage email nurture campaigns, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign workflows
  • Help build and manage integrated marketing campaigns that leverage the team’s content and materials for lead generation
  • Partner closely with Sales and Product to drive a qualified pipeline through multichannel demand gen
  • Integrate and manage tools like Chili Piper, paid social platforms, and CRM workflows
  • Analyze and report on campaign effectiveness, lead performance, and conversion metrics
  • Maintain and evolve the martech stack to scale with company growth
  • Support global expansion through a scalable campaign strategy and localized execution
  • Oversee day-to-day projects for landing pages, forms, and email content, serving as team lead for email operations.
  • Collaborate with content and creative teams to develop marketing automation strategies for lead generation
  • Coordinate with the SDR team for integrated lead generation and account penetration strategies.
  • Collaborate with Seesaw's Events Marketing Manager for efficient lead routing and follow-up for virtual and in-person events.
  • Implement A/B testing in campaigns and lead-nurturing journeys to measure messaging effectiveness.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate campaigns for optimized performance.
  • Create and optimize automated marketing campaigns, including email marketing and segmentation.
  • Support Google Ads development for awareness and lead generation.
  • Maintain performance dashboards and monitor KPIs.
  • Recommend improving marketing strategies, including landing pages, ads, and email.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends and analyze data for campaign optimization, lead nurturing, and SEO improvements.
  • Manage and segment global contact lists based on regional compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to laws such as CASL, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM.
  • Collaborate closely with legal and compliance teams to monitor changes in global communication laws and proactively adjust outreach strategies.
  • Maintain high data integrity standards and champion privacy-first marketing practices across all campaigns and platforms.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience in marketing automation, demand generation, or growth marketing
  • Proven expertise with 5+ years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud / Pardot (certifications a plus) and experience with Chili Piper, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid media platforms
  • Strong analytical mindset; comfortable building reports, dashboards, and attribution models
  • Hands-on, self-starter mentality; able to move quickly and independently
  • Bonus: Experience supporting international marketing initiatives or multi-region campaigns
  • 3-5 years of expertise in demand generation and growth marketing, ideally in EdTech.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and marketing software, with basic HTML and CSS knowledge as a plus.
  • Strong multitasking and deadline-driven skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing KPIs and analytics.
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices, segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing.
